Why the Desert?

The desert holds a lot of significance for both of us.

For Glenn, it started as a family retreat — weekends away from LA that grew into holiday traditions and countless childhood memories. The mountains have always been a backdrop — they remind him of his dad, which makes being surrounded by them during this weekend even more meaningful.

During COVID, we moved out here together and remodeled our family’s home — a place that had hosted hundreds of family and friends over 30+ years — into a modern space that still welcomes people to relax, gather, and enjoy the stillness of the desert.

Liza fell in love with what Glenn had always seen here. Even though she’s only spent a few years in the desert, it’s become her favorite home away from home — the place where she feels most at peace.

That’s why it means so much to us to share this place with our closest friends and family. The desert is our reset, our oasis, and now, the backdrop for this celebration.

Most of all, thank you for making the time to be here. We know everyone has constraints on their time, and it means the world to us that you’re joining us for a few days to celebrate our relationship. We’re so grateful.

We hope this weekend is as much a celebration for you as it is a chance to rest, recharge, and find the peace we’ve always found here.
